Visiting off-the-beaten-path places can provide a unique and memorable travel experience. In southeastern France, the beautiful region of Provence offers beautiful lavender fields, charming hilltop towns, and delicious local cuisine. Another must-visit destination in France is the Palace of Versailles, located just outside of Paris. For a more laid-back destination, consider a trip to the charming village of Eze, located on the French Riviera. This picturesque hilltop town offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, beautiful cobblestone streets, and charming shops and cafes.

Of course, some destinations stand out more than others. One of my recent favorites was a charming coastal town in Portugal, where we stayed in a uniquely picturesque hotel near some breathtaking views of the ocean. Another unforgettable trip was to a remote island in the Caribbean, where we discovered a secluded beach and indulged in a private cabana and tropical cocktails.
